What are Zebra shades and why are they referred to as such?

These are modern alternatives to otherwise boring horizontal blinds. They were dubbed "zebra" shades because of their transition from a privacy material to a  translucent sheer material. They are also called "dual sheer shades". They are available in many colors and options: light filtering, blackout or a combination of the two. As one of our most popular shades, rest assured they will look wonderful in any decor.

What is Thread?

Thread is connectivity between devices ( similar to WIFI or BLUETOOTH)

What is MATTER?

MATTER is the language your devices speaks in which you use to control them. In short, MATTER makes devices across major smart home ecosystems work together, and THREAD improves the connection between them.

If I chose to order my shades myself how will I know which one goes where once I receive them?

Each blind/shade will have a measurement and room label located on a sticker on the actual blind itself.  Installation should be quick and easy!

How do I integrate with my smart home system?

Detailed manuals will be provided making this step less of an hassle.  In addition to the normal manual if you ordered a MATTER version motor a QR code will be located on the shade which you can scan to add directly to your smart ecosystem.  This makes the process even simpler and saves valuable time.

Are there any refunds?

Due to the custom nature of our blinds/shades each blind or shade is made specifically for each customers space. See cancellation policy within Customer contract.

How do I clean my shades and blinds?

Our shades require minimal cleaning. When you think they need cleaning , feather dusting or a light vacuum should do just fine. Cleaning instructions vary depending on the type of shade or blind. Please refer to our cleaning guide on our website or contact us for assistance.

Are your products eco-friendly?

Yes, we offer eco-friendly options for most of our shades and blinds. For every blind/shade we produce it reduces 12 plastic bottles from our landfills. Please contact us for more information.

What can I do if my pet rips or tears my shades?

Unfortunately, accidents are not covered under warranty.

Do you offer free consultations?

Yes, we offer free consultations to help you choose the right shades and blinds for your home or business. Please contact us to schedule a consultation.

How long are the motors warrantied?

Our motors are warrantied for a period of 5 years.  Extended warranties can be purchased with your initial order.  We recommend charging your shades at least once every 6 months to extend their longevity.

May I measure and install the shades I order myself?

You absolutely can, however,  in doing so you would relieve Hello Shades of any liability. Not to worry, detailed easy to follow instructions will be provided with each order or sample materials.
